WILFREDO HERNANDEZ

Wilfredo is an interdisciplinary artist, cultural producer and consultant whose work focuses on producing for equity, narrative and social change. His work spans focus areas, including sexuality/gender, myth, politics, food and race. He is the Founder/CEO of Communitas Arts & Culture, LLC & Founder/Executive Producing Director of the Drag Arts Oral History Project. His 20+year career includes programmatic, consulting and executive leadership work with several notable organizations, including Disney Theatrical Productions, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, The Field and CultureWorks Greater Philadelphia. He received his M.A. in Producing & Directing Theatre from NYU and is a graduate of PISAB’s Undoing Racism for Community Organizers and the Philadelphia Mayor’s Office on LGBT Affairs’ Leadership Pipeline Program. He holds a certificate in effective philanthropy from Stanford University and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Philadelphia Cultural Fund.

This year, he was chosen as one of seven Americans included in the inaugural cohort of “Building LGBTQ+ Communities in Germany & the US” by the American-German Institute/Johns Hopkins University; was named an inaugural Cultural Producer-in-Residence with the Philadelphia Latino Arts & Film Festival (PHLAFF); was selected as one of 40 national leadership fellows to the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Culture of Health Institute for Racial Healing cohort; and was recently named an UnMapping Fellow (Storytelling for Social Change) for the 2024-2025 academic year at The Writer’s Room at Drexel University.

Rebecca is the co-founder of Beyond the Bell Tours, an inclusive historical walking tour company. Graduating from Haverford College in 2018 with honors in Italian Studies and Peace, Justice and Human Rights, she is multilingual and wrote her thesis about inclusive tourism. She has presented her thesis research internationally. She's passionate about the intersection of tourism and justice work. Rebecca served as the Tutleman Artist in Residence at Haverford College in 2022, where she designed an on-campus tour covering many of the justice themes covered on a typical Beyond the Bell Tour called: The People's History Tour of Haverford College, for which she received the Young Alumni Award in 2023. Rebecca is currently collaborating with Our Market to create a tour of 9th Street Market that incorporates oral history, archival research and public artwork created by Michelle Angela Ortiz. Rebecca was recently named one of Philadelphia's Most Influential by Philadelphia Gay News 2024.

Leslie Juan Rivera Ramos is a Puerto Rico-born writer/director driven by a passion for storytelling and entertainment. With a commitment to pushing artistic boundaries, Les has created captivating narratives in the form of short films, documentaries, and as the director of photography for the movie adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize-winning play, “Fat Ham.” As an educator, Les shares low-budget filmmaking techniques on the Blatino Cineninja YouTube channel, where he also brought his award-winning feature debut, “Papi Ramirez vs Giant Scorpions,” to life. Shot in a rental storage unit with clever techniques, the film showcases Les’ love for retro cinema and tells an entertaining story of a father’s extraordinary dedication to his child. Leslie Rivera’s artistic journey is fueled by a quest for excellence, commitment to entertainment, and a desire to uncover truth through the magic of storytelling.
